AI Squish Effect
A giant fingertip presses down from above, then lets it spring back.
A real, unedited output of this effect — one photo in, a five-second finger squish out.
What Is the AI Squish Effect?
The AI squish effect turns a still photo into a short video where the subject is squeezed like soft foam — pressed down, wobbling, and springing back — while everything else in the picture stays put. You upload one photo, choose how it gets squished, and the AI video model invents the foam physics, the fingers and the bounce.
The look started as a one-click video effect in 2024 and took off on TikTok, where creators pair the squeeze with an ASMR sound and let the wobble do the rest. This page gives you the same effect with four ways to squish, a real credit price on the button, and the prompt behind every clip in the open.
How to Make a Squish-It Video
Upload your photo
One clear subject on a simple background works best — a plush toy, a pet, a face, a product. JPG, PNG and WebP are all fine, and vertical photos land perfectly in TikTok and Reels.
Pick how it gets squished
Tap Finger Squish for the classic press-and-bounce, Hand Squeeze for a full grab, Side Press for the pancake, or Bounce for a hands-free jelly hop. The text box stays empty — add slow motion or a color only if you want.
Generate and download
Hit Generate and the AI squish effect renders a four-second clip on the entry tier. The credit price sits on the button before you spend anything, failed renders are refunded, and the download carries no watermark.
Four Ways to Squish
The same plush monster, squished four ways. Each chip in the generator above maps to one of these motions.
Start
Finger Squish
The classic: a giant fingertip flattens the subject, lifts away, and it wobbles back to shape.

Hand Squeeze
A whole hand grabs and squeezes — the subject bulges between the fingers, then springs free.

Side Press
Two fingertips press it tall and thin from the sides, hold, then let it snap back.

Bounce
No hands at all: the subject squashes itself like jelly and hops — the loopable one.
Still frames are AI-generated illustrations of each squish style. Your clip depends on the photo and the model you choose.
See It Squish
This clip is an unedited output of the same effect that powers this page: one photo of the plush monster in, five seconds of finger squish out on the mid tier. Notice how the table and the background stay perfectly still while only the toy deforms — that stillness is what makes the squeeze read as real.
The exact prompt behind this clip
A giant fingertip presses down on the main subject in the photo from above, squashing it wide and flat like soft squishy foam, then lifts away and the subject bounces back to its original shape with a wobble, the rest of the scene stays completely still, the subject keeps its exact colors and face, soft squishy foam physics, elastic wobble, satisfying ASMR-style motion, bright playful look, smooth continuous motion
Add the ASMR Sound
Half of why the AI squish effect went viral is the audio. The clip you download is silent on purpose — here is the three-step version of what creators do next.
Download the clip
Generate, then download the silent MP4. Vertical 9:16 is the default so it drops straight into a phone editor without cropping.
Add a squeeze sound
In any short-video editor, search the sound library for 'squish', 'squeeze' or 'slime ASMR' and line the sound up with the moment the finger lands. One sound, one press — do not layer.
Post with the trend tags
Use the squish and ASMR tags your platform already surfaces, keep the caption to one line, and let the wobble loop. Bounce-style clips loop cleanest.

Write Your Own Squish Prompt
The four styles cover most clips, and the text box under the photo accepts anything extra. Every squish prompt that works is built from the same four parts.
The four-part formula
1.Who squishes
Point at the subject: 'the main subject in the photo', 'the toy', 'the dog'. Everything else should be told to stay still — that contrast is the effect.
2.How it gets pressed
Name the force: a giant fingertip from above, a whole hand, two fingers from the sides, or nothing at all for a self-bounce.
3.The bounce
Say what happens after the press: 'springs back with a wobble', 'jiggles', 'hops'. Without a release the clip just ends flat.
4.Feel
Close with the physics and mood: 'soft squishy foam physics, elastic wobble, satisfying ASMR-style motion, bright playful look'. Our presets append this automatically.
Four prompts you can copy
Classic finger squish
A giant fingertip presses down on the main subject in the photo from above, squashing it wide and flat like soft squishy foam, then lifts away and the subject bounces back to its original shape with a wobble, the rest of the scene stays completely still, soft squishy foam physics, satisfying ASMR-style motion
Slow-motion hand squeeze
A big hand reaches in and slowly squeezes the main subject in the photo in slow motion, its body bulging out between the fingers like soft foam, then the hand lets go and the subject springs back with a jiggle, the background stays still, elastic wobble, bright playful look
Pet face squish
A giant fingertip gently presses the top of the pet's head in the photo, the face squashes wide with the cheeks puffing out, then the finger lifts and the head bounces back to normal with a wobble, the pet keeps its exact fur colors and eyes, soft squishy physics, cute and playful
Looping jelly bounce
No hands appear: the main subject in the photo squashes itself down like jelly, then springs up into a bouncy hop, stretching tall in the air and landing with a soft wobble, repeating the bounce in a seamless loop, the background stays still, satisfying ASMR-style motion
Three mistakes that break the squish
Letting the whole scene move
If the camera pans or the background wobbles too, the squeeze stops reading as real. Always say the rest of the scene stays completely still.
Skipping the bounce-back
'Press the toy flat' with no release gives you a clip that ends squashed. The satisfying part is the spring — name it.
Hard, rigid subjects
A metal can or a glass bottle squishing looks wrong, not funny. Pick soft-looking subjects, or say 'like soft foam' so the model treats it as one.
What Squishes Best
The AI squish effect will squeeze anything you upload, but some subjects are simply funnier than others.
Soft toys and plushies
The natural fit: rounded, fluffy, already foam-like. The finger squish on a plush reads instantly and the bounce looks physically right.
Faces and pets
A face-on photo with the cheeks visible squishes best — that is where the wobble shows. Pets with big eyes are the TikTok favorite; keep the ears in frame.
Products and packaging
Sneakers, earbuds cases, snack bags and cosmetics all squish well and make a scroll-stopping product teaser. Say 'like soft foam' for anything that looks hard.
What doesn't work
Wide scenes with many small subjects, tiny objects in a big frame, and heavy motion blur. Give the effect one clear subject filling a good part of the shot.
