26 AI Video Models Compared: Specs & Prices (Oct 2026)

26 AI video models on one page: max length, resolution, sound and price per second for Veo 3.1, Kling 3, Seedance 2.5, Wan 3 and more. Updated monthly.

AI Video Models Compared: Specs, Length & Price per Second (October 2026)

There are more AI video models than ever, and every launch post calls itself the best. In 2026 alone, ByteDance, Kuaishou, Google, Alibaba, MiniMax and several other labs shipped new video models, some of them twice.

This page puts 26 AI video models compared side by side on one table: how long a single clip can run, how sharp it gets, whether it makes sound, and what one second of video costs.

Every spec and price comes from the live price list on Imgveo, where all 26 run from the same credit balance. That's the fairest way to compare prices: one platform, one credit, one set of rules.

We update this page every month. The figures below were checked on October 21, 2026.

Here's what you'll find:

  • The 4-Number Model Card, a quick way to size up any model
  • The full 26-model table
  • What changed in October 2026
  • Price, length, sound and 4K rankings
  • Which model to pick for six common jobs

The 4-Number Model Card

You can judge almost any AI video model with four numbers: its longest single clip, its highest resolution, whether it makes sound, and its price per second. Everything else (style, motion, prompt following) only matters once those four fit your project.

The 4-Number Model Card: longest single clip, highest resolution, sound, and credits per second at 720p

Number 1: longest single clip

This is the most seconds one generation can return. It ranges from 4 seconds to 30 seconds across today's models. Past the limit, you have to chain clips, which we cover in how to make longer AI videos.

Number 2: highest resolution

Most models top out at 1080p. Six go to 4K. Resolution often changes the price more than anything else, so check the price at the size you actually need.

Number 3: sound

Some models generate dialogue, effects and ambience in the same pass. Some let you switch it on or off. Some never make sound at all.

Number 4: credits per second at 720p

We compare price at 720p because almost every model offers it. Flat-priced models (one price per clip) are divided by their clip length, so a 30-credit, 8-second clip counts as 3.75 credits per second.

Now let's put all 26 in one table.

AI video models compared at a glance

The table below lists all 26 AI video models on Imgveo, with their four numbers and the cheapest clip each one can make. Basic and Pro are Imgveo tiers; every other row is a named model from its maker.

A few notes on reading it:

  • "On / off" means you choose. On Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Omni, Kling 2.6 and PixVerse V6, sound costs extra; on the Seedance family and Pro, it's free.
  • "Included" means sound is on by default and the price is the same with or without it.
  • "Always on" means every clip comes with sound, and the price covers it.
  • "No setting" means Imgveo shows no sound switch for that model. We don't claim those clips are silent.
  • "Yes (5 s)" means the model supports start and end frames, but only for clips up to 5 seconds.
  • One Imgveo credit costs about $0.0133 on the Starter plan ($19.90 for 1,500 credits). So 10 credits per second is roughly $0.13 per second.

What changed in October 2026

October was the biggest month for Imgveo's lineup this year: 17 of the 26 models in the table arrived on October 3. Here's the short list of changes since September.

New on Imgveo this month

Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2 Mini, Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime, MiniMax H3, Gemini Omni 1.1, Kling 3.0 Omni, Kling 3.0 Turbo, PixVerse V6, Grok Imagine Video 1.5, HappyHorse 1.1, FLUX 3 Video, Vidu Q3 Pro and Turbo, Luma Ray 3.2, Runway Gen-4.5 and LTX 2.5 Fast.

Price changes

Several older tiers were repriced on October 3, including Seedance 2, Kling 3.0 and Wan 2.7. Basic changed engines on October 21: it now makes silent 4-second clips for 20 credits at 480p or 40 at 720p.

Kling 4.0: announced, not here yet

Kuaishou opened Kling 4.0 Flash to a limited group of subscribers on September 28, 2026, and said the full model would launch in October. As of October 21, we found no public API for it, so we can't offer it yet.

We'll add it the month it becomes available and update this page.

Sora is gone

OpenAI announced the end of Sora on March 24, took the app offline on April 26, and removed the Sora 2 API on September 24, 2026. If a comparison still recommends Sora 2, it's out of date. Our Sora alternatives guide covers where its users went.

That's the news. Now the rankings.

The 2026 release timeline

Most of today's lineup is less than nine months old. Only four models in the table (Veo 3.1, Hailuo 2.3, Runway Gen-4.5 and Kling 2.6) launched before 2026.

The pace matters for you. A model ranked "best" in spring is often two versions behind by autumn, which is why we date every comparison and refresh it monthly.

Cheapest to most expensive: price per second

At 720p, one second of AI video costs anywhere from 3.75 credits to 47 credits on the same platform: a 12.5× spread. That's the gap between Veo 3.1 Lite and Seedance 2.5.

Credits per second at 720p for 26 AI video models, from Veo 3.1 Lite at 3.75 to Seedance 2.5 at 47

The five cheapest per second

  1. Veo 3.1 Lite: 30 credits for an 8-second 720p clip, sound included (3.75/s)
  2. Hailuo 2.3 Standard: 30 credits for 6 seconds at 768p (5/s), photo-to-video only
  3. Grok Imagine Video 1.5 and LTX 2.5 Fast: 30 credits for 5 seconds at 720p (6/s)
  4. Veo 3.1 Fast: 60 credits for an 8-second 720p clip, sound included (7.5/s)
  5. MiniMax H3 and PixVerse V6: 48 credits for 6 seconds at 768p with sound, and 40 credits for 5 seconds at 720p (8/s)

The five most expensive per second

  1. Seedance 2.5: 235 credits for 5 seconds at 720p (47/s)
  2. Seedance 2: 180 credits (36/s)
  3. FLUX 3 Video: 170 credits (34/s)
  4. Veo 3.1 Quality: 250 credits for 8 seconds (31/s)
  5. Vidu Q3 Pro: 150 credits (30/s)

Why the spread is so wide

Three things drive the price. Resolution is the biggest: Seedance 2.5 jumps from 235 credits at 720p to 790 at 1080p for the same 5 seconds.

The variant is the second: "Pro" and "Quality" versions cost more than their "Fast", "Turbo" and "Lite" siblings. Sound is the third, but only on a few models.

The expensive models aren't always better for your shot. A cheap model that nails a simple product spin beats an expensive one that you have to re-run three times. For the full cost math, including failed takes, see how much AI videos really cost and AI video credits explained.

Longest single clip: who goes past 10 seconds

Three models make a 30-second clip in one generation: Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime. Everything else stops between 4 and 20 seconds.

Longest single clip per model, from 4 seconds to 30 seconds

The 30-second tier

Seedance 2.5 and both Wan 3.0 models run up to 30 seconds in text-to-video, image-to-video and start-and-end-frame modes. A 30-second Wan 3.0 clip at 480p costs 240 credits; at 720p it's 480. The same 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5 at 720p is 1,410 credits.

The 15–20-second tier

FLUX 3 Video and LTX 2.5 Fast reach 20 seconds. Vidu Q3 reaches 16. Kling 3.0 (all three variants), the Seedance 2 family, Wan 2.7, MiniMax H3, PixVerse V6, Grok Imagine Video 1.5 and HappyHorse 1.1 stop at 15.

The fixed-length tier

Veo 3.1 always makes 8 seconds, and Basic makes 4-second clips. Gemini Omni 1.1 makes 4, 6, 8 or 10.

Kling 2.6, Runway Gen-4.5, Luma Ray 3.2, Hailuo 2.3 and Pro stop at 10.

Need more than 30 seconds? Chain clips with the last frame of one as the start of the next. Our longer AI videos tutorial walks through it.

AI video models that make sound

17 of the 26 models can generate sound with the picture, and on 13 of them sound costs nothing extra. On the other 4, switching it on raises the price.

Sound at no extra cost

  • Always on: Veo 3.1 and MiniMax H3
  • On by default, same price either way: Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, FLUX 3 Video, Vidu Q3 Pro and Turbo, and LTX 2.5 Fast
  • Free to switch on: Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2, Seedance 2 Fast, Seedance 2 Mini and Pro

Sound that costs extra

Kling 3.0 (14 → 20 credits per second on std), Kling 3.0 Omni (14 → 18 at 720p), PixVerse V6 (8 → 10), and Kling 2.6, where sound doubles the price.

Silent models

Basic, Hailuo 2.3, Wan 2.7 and Kling 3.0 Turbo make no sound. Add music or a voice-over in editing, or make a soundtrack with our AI music generator.

4K AI video: which models render it natively

Six models render native 4K: Seedance 2, Kling 3.0 (4K mode), Kling 3.0 Omni, Veo 3.1, Gemini Omni 1.1 and LTX 2.5 Fast. MiniMax H3 goes to 2K. Every other model tops out at 1080p or lower.

Model4K clipCredits
LTX 2.5 Fast5 s240
Gemini Omni 1.14 s / 10 s150 / 210
Veo 3.1 Lite / Fast / Quality8 s180 / 220 / 420
Kling 3.0 (4K mode)5 s335
Kling 3.0 Omni5 s335
Seedance 25 s1,000

Native 4K is expensive because the model renders four times the pixels of 1080p. For many shots, generating at 720p and upscaling is a fraction of the price. We ran the numbers model by model in native 4K vs upscaled AI video.

Pick a model by job

Match the model to the job, not to the leaderboard. Here's where each model earns its credits.

Which AI video model to pick for six common jobs

Cheap drafts and testing prompts

Start with Seedance 2 Mini (10 credits per second at 720p, sound included) or LTX 2.5 Fast (6 per second). Lock the prompt and framing here, then re-run the winner on a bigger model.

Talking characters and dialogue

Veo 3.1 is the dialogue specialist, and Lite makes an 8-second speaking clip for 30 credits. Kling 3.0 with sound is the next pick when you need 15 seconds or start and end frames.

Long single shots

Wan 3.0 is the cheapest way to get 30 seconds in one pass: 240 credits at 480p. At 720p, the same 30 seconds costs 480 credits on Wan 3.0 and 1,410 on Seedance 2.5, ByteDance's newest flagship, with optional sound and start and end frames across the whole clip.

Animating a photo

Every model on the list takes a start image. Hailuo 2.3 and Grok Imagine Video 1.5 are photo-only and among the cheapest.

When a face or a product has to stay the same across shots, Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2 are the usual picks; our character consistency guide explains why. See image to video for the workflow.

Precise transitions

Use start and end frame mode when you know where the shot must land. Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime allow it for the full 30 seconds.

Seedance 2 Mini, Kling 3.0 Omni, Gemini Omni 1.1, FLUX 3 Video, LTX 2.5 Fast, Vidu Q3, PixVerse V6 and MiniMax H3 allow it at their full length. Kling 3.0, Seedance 2 and Wan 2.7 cap it at 5 seconds. Try it on the start and end frame tool.

Big screens and client delivery

For native 4K, Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni 1.1 are the most affordable. For a fixed budget, render at 720p and upscale the keeper.

AI video model families explained

Most AI video models come in families, and the suffix tells you the trade-off. "Fast", "Turbo" and "Lite" are cheaper and quicker; "Pro" and "Quality" are slower and sharper. Wan 3.0 Prime is the exception: it costs more for speed.

Seedance (ByteDance)

Four models, from 10 to 47 credits per second at 720p. Seedance 2.5 is the flagship, with 30-second clips and sound, and Seedance 2 is the only member with 4K.

Mini is the budget draft model. Compare the family with Kling in Kling 3 vs Seedance 2.

Kling (Kuaishou)

Kling 3.0 has three modes, std (720p), pro (1080p) and 4K, with optional sound. Omni matches their prices and adds full-length start and end frames.

Turbo is the fast, silent variant, and Kling 2.6 stays for its cinematic 1080p look. See Kling AI alternatives if you're shopping around.

Veo and Gemini Omni (Google)

Veo 3.1 makes fixed 8-second clips with sound in three variants. Gemini Omni 1.1, launched in August, is priced per clip from 4 to 10 seconds and reaches 4K. Our Veo 3 vs Kling 3 page compares the two.

Wan and HappyHorse (Alibaba)

Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime both reach 30 seconds with sound; Prime is faster. Wan 2.7 is the silent 1080p workhorse. HappyHorse 1.1 makes 5–15-second clips at 720p or 1080p.

Hailuo and MiniMax H3 (MiniMax)

Hailuo 2.3 animates photos at 768p or 1080p for a flat price. MiniMax H3, the Hailuo 3 generation, adds text-to-video, sound and 2K output.

The rest of the field

PixVerse V6 is a low-cost all-rounder with optional sound. Vidu Q3 (Pro and Turbo) includes sound up to 16 seconds. FLUX 3 Video, still in preview, reaches 20 seconds with sound.

Runway Gen-4.5 is known for smooth, faithful motion, and Luma Ray 3.2 is priced per 5- or 10-second clip. LTX 2.5 Fast is one of the cheapest models per second at 720p and also renders 4K. Grok Imagine Video 1.5 animates a single image.

How we keep this comparison current

Every specification and price on this page is read from the models we actually sell, not from launch posts. That's why the table includes only models you can run today.

  • Monthly refresh: we update the title month, the table and the "What changed" section once a month.
  • Price checks: we track the cost of every model weekly, and price changes reach this page in the next refresh.
  • New models: when a major model launches with a public API, we add it and note it here.

FAQ

What is the best AI video model right now?

There's no single best model. Seedance 2.5 is a strong pick for long, complex shots, Veo 3.1 for dialogue, and Kling 3.0 for consistent characters and products. Pick by the four numbers that matter for your clip: length, resolution, sound and price.

Which AI video model is the cheapest?

Per second, Veo 3.1 Lite is the cheapest at 720p: 30 credits for an 8-second clip with sound, about 3.75 credits per second. Per clip, Basic makes a silent 4-second 480p video for 20 credits.

Which AI video model makes the longest videos?

Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and Wan 3.0 Prime each make a 30-second clip in one generation. FLUX 3 Video and LTX 2.5 Fast reach 20 seconds. For longer videos, chain clips with start and end frames.

Which AI video models generate sound?

17 of the 26 models do. Veo 3.1 and MiniMax H3 always make sound, and Wan 3.0, FLUX 3 Video, Vidu Q3 and LTX 2.5 Fast include it at no extra cost. The Seedance family, Kling 3.0, Kling 2.6, PixVerse V6 and Pro let you switch it on.

Is Kling 4.0 available?

Not on Imgveo yet: as of October 21, 2026, we found no public API for it. Kuaishou opened Kling 4.0 Flash to a limited group of its own subscribers on September 28 and announced the full model for October. We'll add it as soon as it can be offered outside Kling's app.

How often do AI video models change?

Fast. Twenty of the 24 named models in this table launched in 2026, and several were updated within months. Treat any comparison older than three months as a starting point, and check its date.

The bottom line

Choose an AI video model by four numbers, not by hype: longest clip, top resolution, sound and price per second. On those numbers, today's lineup ranges from a 3.75-credit second on Veo 3.1 Lite to 47 credits on Seedance 2.5.

The fastest way to find your model is to run the same prompt on two or three of them. All 26 are in one place on Imgveo, on one credit balance. Start with text to video and switch models from the same box.
